One of my favorite paintings- It seems to have all the components of the cycle of life. There is an old sunflower on its way out and a new fresh one taking its place. The goldfinch feeds on them both. The dragonfly has provided a hidden spider with a good meal. Somebody loved this house and had their very best lace curtains adorning it- but they are long gone now. The moth is an "American Dagger Moth". There are 90 sub species of this one moth. that means every  male and female of the sub specie have to find each other....- how the heck do they DO that? The part of the painting I am most proud of is the transparent/reflective quality in the broken window....
